Why Use Social Media Dashboards?

The Dilemma of Automation

Most social media dashboards are specialized. They cater to only a few channels or are good for posting but offer no analytics.

TweetDeck is great for Twitter but has no analytics. AgoraPulse is designed to grow your business on Facebook through lead management and CRM. Netvibes allows you to monitor RSS feeds, blogs, Twitter and Facebook but is not great for posting content. Media Funnel allows you to post to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Tumblr and WordPress but there are no analytics.

Are dashboards indispensable? How do you pick the right one? Read the full article in our Short Takes section.

    Hi

Thanks for the article. I have tried Hootesuite and Tweetdeck. I havent tried the others that you mentioned, but for the one for $200 per month, I think it should be an all-in-one solution, leaving nothing out.

Automation is a great tool, but as you mentioned, with Twitter, it can hurt you, if you abuse the privileged. Doing things manually can take time, but it’s still a great way of creating authentic interaction with your readership

    great article.

    Chris
